About
I'm Julien, a Product Manager based in Berlin, graduating from CODE University of Applied Sciences. My core is product management, but I don't stay in one lane. I've worked across customer success, GTM, design, and enough code to be dangerous. Most recently I was at Langdock, where I helped define and scale a cross-functional role spanning CS, product, and sales.
I start with three questions: what are we solving, for whom, and why? Sounds basic, but skipping them is how teams end up building things nobody asked for.
How I work
I like working with instinct, but I've learned not to always trust it. Every feature needs to earn its place. Prove why it matters for the customer.
Show what impact it has on the business. Estimate the effort honestly. And sometimes it's not about the roadmap at all — sometimes a team just needs a win.
AI has changed how fast I can move from idea to something I can show. Prototyping and visualising what used to take days now takes hours. I use that speed to test more, not to ship more.
When it comes to selling, I focus on the prospect's gap. What are they stuck with? What's missing for a strong yes? That understanding shapes the product just as much as user research does.
Beyond work
I played in a band with my best friends for close to ten years. Music is still a big part of how I think. I geek out about production, go to concerts whenever I can, and always have something playing.
I like learning things for the sake of it. A technical rabbit hole, a new word in another language, a better way to braise something. I'm into design, both the digital kind and the kind you live in. And I'll say yes to pretty much any bike ride or team sport.
